Creating and Extracting Zip Files using Windows Explorer

Create a zip file

1. Open Windows Explorer.
2. Go to the folder where the files are being archived.
3. Select the files.
4. Right click on the selected files, point your mouse cursor to Send To and click on Compressed (zipped) Folder.

Extract a zip file

1. Open Windows Explorer.
2. Click your archive file.
3. Click File > Extract All... from the top menu.
4. On the first Extraction Wizard window, click Next to continue with the extract files process.
5. On the second window, you will be prompted with folder destination. Select a folder to extract files to and click Next.
6. On the third window, you will get some information about your extraction status. Click Finish to finish the process.
